8 TIPS TO ORGANIZE YOUR CLOSET IN SUMMER

8 TIPS TO ORGANIZE YOUR CLOSET IN SUMMER

It is the season to bring out all your bright, airy dresses and keep away those heavy winter clothes! Here are a few tips to get your closet ready to enjoy the sun, blooming nature and at times a bit of rain!

24-7 style

1. Store your winter clothes – store your sweaters, blazers, shawls…after getting them cleaned. Fold and arrange them neatly inside spacious organizers which can be tucked away in the attic, loft or under the bed. This way, they won’t take up space inside your closet. See: http://tinyurl.com/uberlyfe-clothes-organizer

Pile Of Clothes

2. Get rid of clothes that you no longer wear – no matter how trendy an outfit, if you haven’t worn it in over a year, it’s time to give it away or donate to a charity. For expensive clothes, you can either try to sell it online or to a second hand shop. Also if a piece of clothing is smelly, has stubborn old stains, itches or doesn’t fit, it is time to consider losing them. We know it’s difficult, but still!

3. Special care for delicate clothes – when you arranging those sheer summer fabrics in your closet make sure the hangers don’t snag on silk or chiffon materials.

4. Dresses with fragile embellishments – when you hang them in the closet, make sure they don’t get squished among other stuff. Try to give them some space.

5. Hanging long dresses – make sure they don’t touch the floor of the closet…the hemlines will tend to get dirty!

6. Summer accessories – Now is the time to show off those funky fashion jewelry, cool sunglasses, or that hot bikini you have been dying to wear. Use drawer organizers to keep even the smallest things, neatly and within easy reach. See: http://tinyurl.com/uberlyfe-drawer-organizer

7. Summer shoes and bags – shoes like sandals and flip flops are usually light, fun and are in bright, fun colors! They won’t take up much space inside your closet. Or use the closet doors to hang them up. Same goes for bags too and use big bags to hold the smaller ones.

8. One last thing – Try and sort stuff in your closet according to color or type, whichever suits your need. So put shirts together, frocks together, a separate section for pants or long dresses and so on. This will make finding things easy!

WHITE WEDDING DECOR IDEAS

Don’t you just love white weddings? They are so classy and eternally romantic! Here are some creative ideas for such a fairytale wedding

The first thing that comes to our mind is flowers. Go for all white flower decorations with lilies, orchids, hydrangeas, roses and gardenias. You can set the tables with gorgeous candelabras topped with tons of blooms and white pillar candles. Or you can also create a canopy like floral structure with numerous votive candles producing charming illumination. Make sure that seating arrangement is plush, comfortable and in white or any metallic finish.

HOW TO TEACH YOUR KIDS ABOUT ORGANIZATION

Kids are super cute but they are usually mischievous mess-makers. So the earlier you start teaching them the value of organization, the more it will help them to succeed not only at school but everywhere else too.

ghk 1

babbleStart with every day habits or routine like packing lunch box or school bag, getting dressed or even brushing teeth before going to bed. This will encourage them to remember and learn to do the essential things regularly.

ghk

Designate a definite place and time of study. It should be a quiet place with least distractions. Encourage him or her to decide which assignments are priority. Sit with them to review the homework, things needed for school the next day or any special project work. You can install a pegboard near the study table to help organize papers, notes, art work, craft supplies etc. neatly.

3Use folders and files to sort and organize notes, assignments, completed work or work to do, separately. Make sure your child tries to do it himself gradually. Color code or label folders for ease if required.

a bowl full of lemons

While choosing a school bag or locker or closet organizer to store all school supplies, make sure it has enough compartments to arrange different things easily. This is where toddlers start figuring out what fits in where and why they should separately stack things like books, notes, stationery, lunchbox etc.

Pack-a-lock

Teaching kids to clean up after play time or store their dirty laundry neatly is a cool way to teach them organization and also keeps the nursery clutter free. Will help you to breathe easy too! Use our incredibly cute toy organizers, storage sacks and multipurpose laundry bags to control playroom mess. The double flap organizers will help them separately store their toys, games, books, clothes and much more! http://tinyurl.com/uberlyfe-animalstorage

Use labels for bins if that makes finding stuff easier. Like for instance “Everyday toys”, “Favorite Toys”, “Old Toys”. Keep the bins for old toys or clothes higher up on the shelf and the more frequently used ones on the lower shelves so that kids are able to reach them easily. Teach them to donate toys he no longer plays with…he will learn to care for others 🙂

happyorganized life Use our colorful drawer dividers to arrange your children’s inner wear, delicate items or accessories. Motivate them to do the arranging themselves.
