Ask your guests to wear shoes with LED shoelaces to add some zing to the party. Hand out white T-shirts and highlighters so that kids can write cute messages on each other’s back! Yellow and orange pens work the best.

combo6

Give every guest socks in bright neon colors or black and white and ask them to show off cool dance moves on the floor. You can also have glow necklaces handy to keep the party spirit high!

combo 9

Do you know how creative you can easily get with old mason jars? Just go wild on them with glow paint of your choice and a magical display is ready for everyone to go “WOW”!

paintitrouge

Lay out all the yummy food on a table against a particular wall. Use a black cloth or large sheet as a backdrop and decorate it with neon or fluorescent paper flowers or streamers or anything else your kids fancy. Try and get cookies, cupcakes or pastries with neon food colors in them. Using a bright fluorescent cupcake stand is also a great idea.

combo3

Use bright neon plastic or paper cups, fun straws to made the food “shine” in the dark! You can also use water proof, acrylic LED ice cubes for the drinks and edible neon sprinkles on the chocolates or sweets…it will make the goodies doubly delicious.

Most kids adore soft, feathery candy floss and if you insert a glow stick in each, voila! They get glowing candyfloss! But yes you should ideally not serve it to very small kids who might think the glow stick is edible.

blovelyevents

It’s a kids’ party so don’t forget games. If you have a kiddie pool just throw in loads of glow sticks to get the crowd mad with joy. Or just half fill some empty bottles with water and drop in glow sticks. Glow bowling is ready!

HOW TO TEACH YOUR KIDS ABOUT ORGANIZATION

Kids are super cute but they are usually mischievous mess-makers. So the earlier you start teaching them the value of organization, the more it will help them to succeed not only at school but everywhere else too.

ghk 1

babbleStart with every day habits or routine like packing lunch box or school bag, getting dressed or even brushing teeth before going to bed. This will encourage them to remember and learn to do the essential things regularly.

ghk

Designate a definite place and time of study. It should be a quiet place with least distractions. Encourage him or her to decide which assignments are priority. Sit with them to review the homework, things needed for school the next day or any special project work. You can install a pegboard near the study table to help organize papers, notes, art work, craft supplies etc. neatly.

3Use folders and files to sort and organize notes, assignments, completed work or work to do, separately. Make sure your child tries to do it himself gradually. Color code or label folders for ease if required.

a bowl full of lemons

While choosing a school bag or locker or closet organizer to store all school supplies, make sure it has enough compartments to arrange different things easily. This is where toddlers start figuring out what fits in where and why they should separately stack things like books, notes, stationery, lunchbox etc.

Pack-a-lock

Teaching kids to clean up after play time or store their dirty laundry neatly is a cool way to teach them organization and also keeps the nursery clutter free. Will help you to breathe easy too! Use our incredibly cute toy organizers, storage sacks and multipurpose laundry bags to control playroom mess. The double flap organizers will help them separately store their toys, games, books, clothes and much more! http://tinyurl.com/uberlyfe-animalstorage

Use labels for bins if that makes finding stuff easier. Like for instance “Everyday toys”, “Favorite Toys”, “Old Toys”. Keep the bins for old toys or clothes higher up on the shelf and the more frequently used ones on the lower shelves so that kids are able to reach them easily. Teach them to donate toys he no longer plays with…he will learn to care for others 🙂

happyorganized life Use our colorful drawer dividers to arrange your children’s inner wear, delicate items or accessories. Motivate them to do the arranging themselves. You can also paint an old dresser with chalkboard paint and label each drawer for different items! http://tinyurl.com/uberlyfe-closetdivider

Get a funky, vibrant calendar for your little one’s room. Let them inculcate the habit of jotting down reminders like- things to do, household chores to help with or maybe something they need for school, exam dates, assignment submission dates and so on. Or encourage them to create check lists.

When you go shopping, involve your kids while planning what things to get, which route to take. Even when you are planning a vacation, let them decide what clothes, games or essential items they want to take along.

ORGANIZATION IDEAS FOR GROWING KIDS AND TEENS

As your kids grow up, do you get the feeling that they need more space with each passing day? Their clothes, shoes, books, games, sports equipment just keep on piling endlessly! Storage becomes a headache…and you think that you might lose it!

Here we will show you a few tricks to keep your cool in the war against clutter…

A large closet or wardrobe is often the best and most obvious solution. If you can devote an entire wall for this, nothing like it! Use beautiful, colorful bins (http://tinyurl.com/okj2jbbwherever required. They hide the mess and add to the decor.

Designing a “raised” bed for your growing toddler or teen is perfect since drawers or shelves below the bed, provide ample space for things rarely or seasonally used. You can also preserve toys he no longer plays with.

Check out this room below…the way storage has been designed both under and around the bed, is ingenious! Space has been efficiently utilized.

44

Simple open shelves on the wall can look very stylish if cleverly color coordinated. But if you combine them with some beautiful wall art, like decals or stickers (http://tinyurl.com/pgll6hw), it will look brilliant! See the images below for a better idea…

Fancy wire baskets on the wall look chic and are space saving despite being able to hold toys, books etc. Or you can go for a large pegboard to hold all stationery and craft items or maybe hang his favorite art work!

When space is a worry, combining the bed and study area “vertically” is a smart move. It’s a fun arrangement for kids too!

77

If the room is being shared by siblings, even then it is possible to create enough room for storing all their needs! A look at these rooms below clearly shows that even stairs have enormous possibilities!

The stringed swaying seat of this rocker, lends a minimalist and quirky look…

Having your own pet rabbit to go on a wild ride is obviously appealing to any kid.

This one is really creative and a great way to get used to life’s fast lane!

For those children who have highly original thoughts or are extremely imaginative…this “monster” rocker is a must. Let the adventure begin!

The rocking frog made from bamboo is both entertaining and environment friendly.

84063_1_800

These rockers have been inspired by a creature from Star Wars! No doubt they look so exotic…

228591_1_800

Why does it always have to be a horse? Why not these woolly, silky soft sheep? This way, no matter how long the ride, the seat will always be comfy!

Now all this “rocking” makes us want to go back to our childhood 🙂 Do you feel the same way?
