THE SECRET OF HAPPY COOKING!

We think it lies in a spic and span kitchen! When everything is organized neatly, you will actually feel like whipping up a great meal for your family…and when you see their faces beam after tasting your dish, the effort will be worth it 🙂 Here’s a few tricks to get the best out of your kitchen…

If you can devote an entire wall or at least a major part of a wall to storage, then you are very lucky. You can choose open shelves, cabinets or drawers or a combination of all three, depending on your requirement. Using sturdy bins or wire baskets for open shelves is a great idea to minimize clutter.

When drawers have the scope of gliding out from cabinets, it eases the stress of cooking manifold. Check out these innovative provisions made under the kitchen table. Items can be stacked both horizontally or vertically! So even if you have a tiny kitchen, creative designing can create space where you weren’t expecting.

Drawer organizers are a life saver when it comes to sorting and arranging different types of spoons, forks, ladles, scissors and any kitchen accessory. Keeping stuff in separate compartments eases the pain of hunting for a particular thing.

The insides of cabinet doors are excellent places to store plates, lids, graters, hot pads, trays etc. Just affixing a couple of hooks, rods or wire racks can get the job done.

sds

Just like in any other room, using the vertical space in a kitchen, is crucial! This will save on a lot of floor space too. You can hang bins on the wall to contain kitchen tools or daily use items. Attach organizers or dividers to the wall for stacking trays, cutting boards and most used crockery. Hang the pots and pans from a rack over the cooking area. Makes it easy to reach! Stick knives to a magnetic strip on the wall…will be out of your way unless you need them.

Finally, keep your sink area clean. A small potted plant on a ledge can make the whole place charming enough to make you want to do the dishes! And take care of small details…like keeping spices or condiments in labelled transparent containers makes it simple to spot them.

So now that your kitchen is looking awesome, you will need to add only one more ingredient…your love for your family, and you are ready to go 🙂

CREATIVE IDEAS FOR A SMALL NURSERY

The adventure of parenthood is perhaps the most exhilarating experience ever! The planning for the baby’s room, splurging on all those cute little clothes and toys, deciding the name of your angel, your hopes and dreams and that seemingly endless wait till the baby arrives…

So why let the size of the nursery dishearten you when the space in your heart is big enough? Living in metropolitan cities very often deprives us of adequate space for everything. But here we bring you some great décor and organization ideas for small nurseries…

When the wall of a nursery is as captivating as the images you see above, they help divert attention from the size of the room! Needless to say, wall decals or stickers liven up plain, blank walls and are visually stimulating for the baby too. See more: http://tinyurl.com/qyplf2o; http://tinyurl.com/o2zkh4t

Closed low cabinets efficiently hide clutter and the top can act as a stand for little odds and ends. Drawers under the crib are really helpful when it comes to storing blankets, bedding or extra clothes.

If you have some space for a simple closet or wall unit, then nothing like it. See how some simple rods, racks and bins can solve the perennial problem of storage! Labeling each bin will help recognize which contains what. And we love the gorgeous combination of pink and grey in the second nursery too 🙂 See more: http://tinyurl.com/op3t84l

Use the vertical space as much as possible to save on floor area. This way there will be fewer things to bump into when you move about! Simple open shelves, hooks and rods can support most of the stuff as you can see above. The top of a traditional dresser can easily become a changing station. Don’t miss the dark blue walls in the second nursery. Though dark colors are usually perceived to make small rooms appear smaller, we beg to differ…it can provide an illusion of depth and an interesting background for light colored furniture.

If you are still confused about the décor, going for light colored walls and furnishing is a safe bet…the room will appear bright and airy too. Still, we suggest, listen to your heart and do what is best for your little one…you can never go wrong 🙂

ORGANIZATION IDEAS FOR THE LIVING ROOM…

There’s a reason why we call it the “living room”…we “live” here, enjoy with family and friends or just simply relax with a cup of coffee and a good book! We all have our own way to get the most out of this space. So making it look beautiful is very important. And let’s not forget, we usually have so much stuff that we need to figure out smart ways to design storage that pleases the eyes. The living room is a great place to go creative and come up with such solutions.

The first thing that comes to mind are shelves…simple floor to ceiling shelves can house tons of items, books, artifacts, stationery, photographs what not! Depending on the kind of things you want to display and the furniture in the room , you can choose a simple, new age look or a rough, rustic look or a plush, ornate look.

If you don’t want dust to get at your things or maybe want to store items which you don’t want your guests to see, closed cabinets are the best option…floor to ceiling and wall to wall cabinets are ideal for storing endless stuff. You can also go for a combination of shelves and closed cabinets or where only the TV shows (there is in built space to accommodate that)! Check out the images below for a clearer idea…

Other clever ideas are keeping pretty, matching bins (http://tinyurl.com/opytp64under the coffee table or designing a stylish table around the sofa where you can arrange things both on top and underneath. Cushioned seating benches with box storage below is a great multi-functional piece of furniture. A narrow console or entryway table with bins or baskets in the space under, can help a lot too! See below for a closer look…

CAN YOU EVER HAVE ENOUGH SPACE?

Yes you can, if you know how to get more out of the space available already!! Most of the sleep we lose over where and how to keep everything, is mainly because something is wrong with the way we organize things. And all of us go through this phase almost on a regular basis. Exasperating right? This is exactly the reason why we came up with different organizers to make life clutter free and easier…

Our large organizers with divider and double flaps are perfect for sorting and organizing different items like books, magazines, stationery, clothes, toys and anything else you want. We have sober colored ones which you can use in any room of the house and we also have vibrant, animated ones which kids will love! The cool thing is you get to choose the size of the bin as per your need. We also have toy storage boxes which look like houses, simple square ones with cute animal motifs on them and even octagonal ones.  See more:  http://tinyurl.com/napv2e9; http://tinyurl.com/kqtnd2y; http://tinyurl.com/krdrns8

Since we love to play around with designs and colors, we chose adorable combinations for all our toy storage units! It’s hard for an adult to resist them so you can’t blame kids. Why our storage bins are a clever choice to contain any mess? Well the reasons are many! Besides being lightweight, they are collapsible too. So if you are not using it just fold it and tuck it away. They are absolutely safe for kids, being made from soft canvas material. If you are worried about how to keep it clean, don’t fret…a damp cloth is enough to give it a good wipe! These robust bins will last for a long time.

There’s another place where space crunch can make life miserable…your closet or wardrobe. Do you face the problem of clothes spilling out when you open the closet door? Do you hunt madly for every small thing especially when you are in a rush to go to office? Or maybe suddenly one day you discover something buried deep under that you didn’t even know existed? If your answer is “yes” to all these questions, we can definitely help you!

Our clothes storage boxes and inner wear organizers are the solutions you are looking for. Light weight with adequate storage capacity, the clothes organizers are perfect for stashing away both winter woolens and summer shirts. They are collapsible and made from 100% polyester fabric. Steel frames make the box sturdy and help you to stack clothes neatly. The great thing about these is the “viewing window” on 2 sides! So you can easily see what’s inside without opening the box at all! Also, your options become flexible when it comes to keeping the box somewhere…you don’t need to restrict yourself to the closet. Just keep it wherever you have a little space like under the bed or in the attic or the loft. Now that’s pretty smart!

ImageImageImage

The 3 piece inner wear organizers are ideal for managing under wear, ties, socks, scarves, handkerchiefs, belts, or any small accessory. They are lidded and will fit in any drawer…this way you will know where to find what. See more: http://tinyurl.com/lnekw9r

We also have locker sized luxurious jewelry boxes where you can arrange all your valuables. Rich leatherette finishing and velvet inner lining gives it an elegant look. It comes with a mirror too where you can admire yourself decked in those priceless gems! Most importantly, the different types of slots will help you organize necklaces, pendants, earrings, finger rings, bangles and even silver or gold coins…See more: http://tinyurl.com/n6smjfy

Now that you know there are so many ways to make everything fall in line, don’t wait for the miracle to happen by itself. Just a look at our collection will show you that, where  there is a will, there is always a way to get more out of space and more out of life…
